FANTASY and SCIENCE FICTION

50% OFF

[Does not include Young Adult Sci-Fi/Fantasy]

We are still overstocked, so at the moment we are buying very few books. We are also turning down most offers of book donations.

However, there are a few categories that we need at the moment:

NON-FICTION: Alternative medicine, yoga, martial arts, philosophy, spirituality, self-help, recovery, Bibles, Eastern religions, I-Ching, astrology, ESP, UFO/ET, dream interpretation, African-American history, Latin-American history, New York history, Art, Art- instructional, Mathematics, Law books (less than 4 years old), Bike repair, Auto repair, Alternative energy, Sports (less than 4 years old best), Architecture, African-American history or biography

FICTION: Classics, African-American authors, Poetry

If you have books in these catagories that you want to donate, please bring the books any day (except Monday) between Noon and 5pm. An additional phone call before you come is also helpful, 'though not necessary.
If you have books that you want to sell, or if these times don't work for you, special arrangements need to be made with the book manager Katie McCarthy.

Here is our contact info:

When we last checked, there were TWO other thrift stores on
Staten Island that we are aware of who might be accepting used books:

Tottenville Thrift Shop
223 Main Street, SI, NY 10307.
Call first to make sure they are open, their hours are limited.
718-984-7439

Bay Street Thrift
1090 Bay Street, SI, NY 10305
Call first. They don't want large quantities, but one box or so is fine.
718-447-2140
